Kat's super packed weekend!
Holy zombie jesus on a pogo stick.
I have survived the first part of the weekend. First of all, NDP rally was FUCKIN AWESOME!!!!
The poet chick touched my soul, the lion dancing greatly entertained me, I got a cd from the sweet folk singer guy, the Inuit Throat Singing absolutely hypnotized me.
Best of all was when I mentioned to Dad that we should go talk to Inuit Throat Singing Guy and Dad's all like "Yeah, I already invited him our music night with the bellydancers." I love my Daddy.
Owen's band were exciting and they show great promise.
Oh, plus, John Chan gave this awesome and very inspiring speech. Then he danced to the DJ. Second, I<3Techno potluck. Tried K, not all that overjoyed. I brought shrimp rings which were much enjoyed. Nothing like a whole bunch of sketchy people standing around eating shrimp.
Kat:I wonder if shrimp have much nutritional value.
Peter: Yeah, they got tons of vitamin S
Kat: Oh really. Well I think you're full of vitamin shit. Third, meeting film crew people. One of them is whiter than me! They inducted me into their pirate crew. I have to think of a position and a nickname. I have to steal street signs to get "pirate points." Fourth, RAVERAVERAVERAVERAVE.
I got there at 6pm. I was spraypainting banners until 8pm. My hands were in brutal shape due to cold and paint. I<3spraypainting.
Unfortunately, the 6'5'' paper mache Jagermeister bottle flew out of the truck in memorial and was smashed to itty bitty pieces. BOOH!
Ravetime came and all was well. Not so much dancing for me, but much sitting around and having great conversations with people. Owen was a little trooper, and I think it benefited him in the end.
Not sure if it was mostly the E, or the fact that Rebel Sound System pulled off it's first independent legal rave with MASSIVE success, but there was a great feeling of camraderie.

under I<3Techno 2006! Teardown was quick and easy. I kept on finding pennies, I'm wondering if it's some sort of message.
We didn't recycle. ALL those bottles and cans just tossed in the garbage, cardboard too! I feel extremely guilty.
Close to the end, I sat down for a moment and realized just how tired I was. We came home, smoked a joint, went to bed. BUT I COULDN'T SLEEP. Fucking Dex. Blarg. But wait! There's more to come! NDP car flyering in 30 minutes, and then tomorrow I'm hosting our "Zone house." Something about being a nexus for electiom workers. I gotsta get me a job.
